Listed in the Domesday Book and standing in a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Blegberry is a 500 acre working beef, sheep and arable farm. The un-spoilt cliff top location of the farmhouse offers breathtaking views along the coast and out to Lundy, the Atlantic and beyond. The coastal footpath leads from the farm through cornfields and meadows to a small secluded rock, sand and shingle beach and continues along miles of uninterrupted Heritage Coast footpath along the magnificent rugged coastline. Blegberry is an ideal location for nature lovers, walkers, families and those seeking total relaxation.
We encourage guests to join in the daily farming activities, helping with the lambing, sheep shearing, feeding the calves, collecting the eggs and most importantly, cuddling the ponies!
Hartland village is only a five minute drive and provides plenty of amenities including grocery stores selling fresh bread and local produce, a post office, off licence, cash point, pubs, restaurants and arts & crafts workshops. We are also situated within easy reach of leisure centres, activity parks, beaches, historic houses, shops and eateries.
